The Missionaries of the Precious Blood of the Province of Tanzania gathered at St. Gaspar’s Hotel & Conference Center Dodoma for a Business Assembly, an important moment of community life. The event was celebrated from June 9th evening to 13th June 2025, followed by the Incorporation and ordination to diaconate of three Candidates – Laurent Damas Kabila, Revocatus Andrew Bernard and Yohannes Gerhald Mfilinge.
The first day was as usual an introduction preceded by the eucharistic celebration, invocation of the Holy Spirit and the checking of norms, procedures and Assembly credentials. The second day began by the Provincial Directors’ address who reminded the members of the mandate given to the Provincial leadership in 2021, namely to come up with the Five years strategic Plan for the Economy of our Province and the establishment of a clear health policy for the province. However, there was Agenda items which needed to be dealt with, regarding the Atlantic Province Mission Projects handed over to our Province last year and several ongoing Projects which needed the deliberation of Provincial Business Assembly.
The Atlantic Province handed over to our Province the St. Gaspar Pre and Primary School, Bl. John Merlini Secondary School and the CPPS Water Project. Meanwhile the Projects that needed Business Assembly to be approved are the Merlini School in Morogoro being constructed as an extension of the Merlini School in Dodoma and Josephine Bhakita Pre and Primary School under construction in Tegeta Dar es salaam.
Thus, the three following days – Monday June 10th, Tuesday 11th and Wednesday June 12th were dedicated to discussion and approval of the three policies that were prepared by Provincial Treasurers consultants: namely the Financial Regulations & Property Management Policy; Health Policy and Guidelines and Human Resource Policy. One agenda item prepared by the Provincial Council was the review of the decree on Temporal goods in the Provincial Statutes. This agenda, at the end was withdrawn and it was not discussed.
Thursday June 12 evening the above-mentioned candidate were definitively incorporated in the Congregation and on Friday evening, June 13 they were ordained deacons by Mons. Wilbroad Henry Kibozi the Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Dodoma.
