THE DEFINITIVE INCORPORATION OF NINE SEMINARIANS

The Missionaries of the most Precious Blood Province of Tanzania, is very happy this year 2024 for the definitive incorporation into the Society of nine Seminarians. The event took place during the Holy Eucharist presided over by the Provincial Director Fr. Vedasto Ngowi. The event took place in the evening of 01.07.2024 in the Precious Blood Parish in Tegeta - Dar es Salaam and was colored by the presence of many Priests, religious men and women and lay people from different part of the country. The following are the Seminarians who were incorporated: Frt. Abias Mkwetu Thadeo, Frt. Alphonse Gervas Lang'u, Fr. Andrew Nicholas Mauya, Fr. Cyprian Juma Damian, Fr. Deogratias Ismail Dimosso, Frt. Erasmo Lazaro Mligo, Fr. France Rwehabura Chrysostom, Frt. Metodi Pastory Kibiriti and Frt. Wilberd Joseph Chuwa.

During his homily Fr. Vedasto Ngowi said that, for our Congregation July 1st is a special day – the feast of the Precious Blood of Jesus and it has been our custom recently to celebrate the definitive incorporation of our candidates. He underlined the fact that definitive incorporation to our congregation for them was marking the day they are solemnly consecrating themselves totally to God for the rest of their life for the service of the Church. The Congregation is their family and they belong to the Church, he said. He also reminded them that in accomplishing their mission to the Church through our congregation there will moments of success and failure, fall and rise, applause and rejection. Be prepared for all that, he said.  When you go through such difficult mission or difficult times, you should always look to Christ who called you and the one you follow, keeping in mind that he Himself has already gone through all these situations.

The Provincial Director challenged these seminarians as he gave them the name of "Young Merlini". He said that soon the Servant of God John Merlini is going to be beatified by the universal Church. Just as this servant of God dedicated his life to tireless ministry, so these seminarians should imitate his example. You should always be ready to accomplish whatever you are assigned to do faithfully and tirelessly just as John Merlini did.  He exhorted them to imitate and follow the example of John Merlini by using their intelligence, gifts and talents for the service of God.
